The new Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) is just around the corner. On 1 June 2022, the long overdue law will come into force.
Any company that holds data about an individual will have to comply with their request to review, correct or even delete the data in their database.
Being compliant means complying with the request and accepting to disclose the data you hold and to review, redact or possibly delete it.
Despite the good intentions to protect the privacy of personal data, the implementation seems to have done just the opposite.
