Message from the Executive Director - November 2021

The situation in Thailand continues to improve and the borders have been almost completely opened for international travelers. Good signs and news that are now slowly making their way back into our daily news cycle. As usual, however, I will leave the journalistic work to the journalists and share with you the latest news from our Chamber that has not yet made it into the headlines of the major publications.

New Format of the STCC Newsletter

With our latest newsletter, we have once again taken a step forward and updated the format, layout and functionality of our communication with you. The new email format of the newsletter allows for a more seamless reading experience and leaves you the choice to delve deeper into certain articles. I hope that from now on you will be even more active in using this way of communicating with the Swiss-Thai business community to share your news!

As you may have noticed, there is no advertising in this first newsletter. This was not a mistake, but intended to give you a feel for the new format. Advertising space will be available again from January. The marketing deck for these exciting new advertising opportunities to support our Chamber will be made available to you in the coming weeks. I hope you will share them with your marketing departments and consider using our channels to promote your business to the Swiss-Thai business community.

Upcoming Events

As most restrictions on events have been lifted, we will once again start our in-person networking events. Here I would like to ask you to already save the 25th of November in your Calendar as we will be having our yearly special networking event at the Residence of H.E. Ambassador Helene Budliger Artieda. At the event you will also have the opportunity to see our new office on the Embassy compound in person.

In addition, I am looking into the possibility of holding a relaxed and informal smaller event before Christmas to allow for further exchange before the year comes to an end.

As we also enter a new year with hopefully many face-to-face events, I would like to conduct a survey (which was mentioned in the past) with you on event formats and content so that the upcoming events we organise are also in a way that our members find interesting.

Please also remember that you can always contact me if you have problems that the Chamber can assist you with. I also welcome any feedback on the Chamber's work, suggestions and initiatives from members.
